Computational Imaging Research (CIR)

Sorry, this content is only available in German!

The CIR lab (Computational Imaging Research) is an interdisciplinary research group of scientists from medicine, computer science and mathematics who join from different faculties.

It is located at the Department of Biomedical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy at the Medical University of Vienna, is also affiliated with the Institute of Computer Graphics and Vision at the Graz University of Technology, and is cooperating with the Computer Vision Lab at Vienna University of Technology.

Our goal is to understand how to extract relevant knowledge from medical images, to learn about the processes within the human body, to support medical research and to apply methods during the diagnosis and monitoring of diseases, in order to improve the well-being of the patient.

To accomplish this we tap into both medical and computer science communities, and are happy to have researchers from various fields being members of our group.
