The medical radiochemistry and biomarker development in nuclear medicine has the following dedicated divisions/labs which are required for the preparation and quality testing of radiopharmaceuticals
1 Cyclotron
- GE PETtrace 600; 16.5 MeV Protons; 6 target-positions
- Upgrade to PETtrace 860
2 Productions-Hot-Labs
- 2 Hot Cells (von Gahlen) @ PET 2V (1x FDG and filling; 1x C-11 und N-13)
- 2 Hot Cells (Comecer) @ Radiopharmacology 3L (thereof 1x PET; 1x Therapy)
4 research hot-labs (3x B-status, 1x C-status)
- shielded digesters, lead constructions, LAF-workbench
- 1x Ga-68; 1x metabolites und analytics; 1x therapy-nuclide; 1x HPLC-analytics
5 Bio-Labs (close cooperation with „Radiopharmacy and Experimental Nuclear-Medicine“)
- cell-culture
- tissue samples
- binding-studies
No „cold“ laboratory
- therefore close cooperation with the University of Vienna, Dept. for Chemistry and faculty of life-sciences and relevant companies (i.e. ABX, Radeberg, Germany)
No GMP-Lab
- new building is planned
