Research interests
- 3D Tissue texture analysis in various modalities (CT, MRT, etc.)
- Unsupervised and semi-supervised learning of a visual tissue vocabulary by extracting the dominant structure of anatomical regions
- Content-based image retrieval (CBIR)
- Unsupervised learning of anomalies and pathologies
- Machine learning in the medical domain based on large medical imaging collections (hospital-wide PACS systems)
- Texture Bags: Anomaly Retrieval in Medical Images based on Local 3D-Texture Similarity. Burner, A. and Donner, R. and Mayerhoefer, M. and Kainberger, F. and Langs G.
