Medical radiochemistry and biomarker development in nuclear medicine has several laboratory rooms, which are suitable for work with open radioactive substances (B-value or C value work stations according to StrSchG (Austrian Radiation Protection law)).In addition there is also a medical cyclotron available which is housed in a suitable radiation protection bunker. This particle accelerator is one of only 4 of its kind in Austria, and the only one which is non-commercially operated, therefore only clinically and scientifically operated.
